Scholarships

In honor of our founding members, GOSSLP is proud to announce two scholarships for students pursuing higher-level education. GOSSLP will award a $500 scholarship for you to use towards your educational/clinical expenses (ex. books, therapy materials, etc.). Applications will open on August 1, 2025.

Congratulations to our 2025 Winner, Alexa Jackson!

Alexa Jackson is a graduate student in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Georgia State University with a passion for serving Spanish-speaking students and individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Drawing from her background in education and language instruction, she is committed to providing culturally responsive and inclusive therapy. Her experiences include participating in Camp SPEAK, advocating for bilingual assessment practices, and preparing to study abroad in Puerto Rico to further her work with Spanish-speaking communities. Inspired by her personal connection to autism, Alexa strives to ensure that all students—especially those who are often overlooked—have access to meaningful communication and opportunities to thrive.
