Welcome to the Georgia Organization of School-Based Speech Language Pathologists

GO SSLP is the only organization in Georgia that focuses on issues related to speech-language pathology services in schools.

GO SSLP is dedicated to a number of issues specifically affecting school-based speech language pathologists. These issues include caseload size, FTE funding, salary supplements, certification, and licensure. We also provide our members with continuing education and a regular newsletter.

GO SSLP Stands in Solidarity for Equality

The Georgia Organization of School Based SLPs (GO SSLP) provides professional support, public awareness, and opportunities for professional growth by being an advocate for Georgia’s school-based SLPs and ALL of the students they serve. GO SSLP believes the mission of SLPs is to assist students in finding their voice. We make a difference for children from a wide variety of backgrounds by helping them develop effective communication. We must continue to be sure that all voices are heard and valued by taking a stand in support of all who speak out against any form of discrimination.

GO SSLP stands with those who oppose racism, bigotry, and hatred in all forms and strongly support the Black Lives Matter movement.

With that in mind, please join us as we use these summer months as an opportunity for professional development as well as self-reflection on how we can help to dismantle systemic racism. This work is difficult but necessary so that all of us can be recognized for our own unique gifts. Please feel free to reach out to us through the Executive Office if you would like to join us.

GO SSLP has prepared a list of books and other resources that relate to teaching a diverse group of students. You can find that resource here . If you have any additional resources you think would be beneficial to your colleagues, please send the information to the Executive Office for inclusion on this list! Let’s work together to make the world a better place.
