You must be logged into the GO SSLP website in order to register online for the conference. If you have attended a conference in previous years, you probably have an existing profile. Please email the Executive Office for help accessing your profile.

Many of you may have questions about whether SLPs can attend the conference if there is a FTE count day. We requested clarification from the Department of Education and the following comments are from Jan Stevenson, DOE Consultant for Speech:

“You can count your students without actually serving them on the day of the count, as long as you meet the FTE criteria."

Here are excerpts from the FTE Guidance:

1.    Prior Ten Days:  A student must have attended class for at least one of the prior ten school days before the FTE count date.
2.    Enrolled in an Instructional Class:  A student must be enrolled in an instructional program to earn FTE funding for that segment.  The student must be regularly scheduled to receive services on the count day.  Funding should be based on the student’s needs and the ability of the school to regularly schedule those services.  Student schedules should not be rearranged for the purpose of earning FTE funding.”

Best Practices will be held at the Cobb Galleria Centre. It is located at 2 Galleria Parkway in Atlanta ‐ off of Cobb Parkway (Highway 41) near the Cumberland Mall area. Visit for directions and area information.

A block of rooms are reserved at the Wyndham Atlanta Galleria at the rate of $119/night (plus tax). Call 1-800-207-4505 and mention the "GA Organization of School Based Speech Language Pathologists" to get this group rate.

The GO SSLP Annual Business Meeting and Meet & Greet reception will be held on Thursday, March 8th, details to come. Please plan to join us!

In the event of inclement weather, the conference will be held with the possibility of a delayed start time. Check the GO SSLP Website, for up‐to‐date information the morning of the conference.

CEU attendance and session evaluations will be managed electronically. Please make sure you arrive to each session early and make sure you are scanned into the classroom. Handouts for all sessions will be provided on the conference app. (App download instructions will be available in February 2018.) No printed handouts will be available on-site. PLU credit should be arranged through your school system.
